Following on the successful meeting in Zürich in 2006, the Biomedical Engineering Societies of Austria, Germany and Switzerland will come together again for a joint meeting, hosted by the University of Rostock, on October 5 - 8, 2010, which will therefore incorporate the Annual Meeting of our society.

The 2009 Annual Meeting of the SSBE was held in Bern on August 27th and 28th, 2009. The meeting brought together academic and corporate researchers throughout Switzerland from diverse fields of biomedical engineering.
The meeting followed our long-standing and successful format which combines invited lectures by industry and research leaders with presentations of new research results from our Society's younger members. The meeting provided an overview of the current state of Biomedical Engineering in Switzerland and offered an environment for a productive exchange between participants.
